It depends on your service area and what one job is worth to you, but most local service businesses I work with start between $1,500 and $5,000 a month in ad spend. I would rather start you lower with accurate tracking, prove the numbers, then scale — than push a big budget at an account nobody can measure.

Why do you insist on fixing tracking before touching campaigns?

Because Google’s bidding is powered by your conversion data. If half your calls are missing, or one form counts three times, the AI optimizes toward the wrong people and you pay for it every day. Measure first, optimize second — it is the whole reason accounts I take over start improving without a budget increase.

How long before I see results?

Tracking is usually clean within the first week or two. Campaign performance typically starts moving in 30 to 60 days, because smart bidding needs a few weeks of accurate conversion data before it settles. Anyone promising results in seven days is selling you something.

What is conversion tracking, in plain terms?

It is the system that tells Google which clicks turned into real enquiries — a phone call, a form, a booking, a chat. Without it you only know how many people clicked. With it you know which keywords, ads and areas actually produce work, so budget can move toward them.

What is the difference between GA4 and Google Ads conversions?

Accepted Answer

Google Ads conversions tell you what your ads produced, and they feed the bidding. GA4 shows you the wider picture — all traffic sources, how people move through your site, where they drop off. You want both, configured so they agree with each other.

Can you track phone calls and jobs that close later?

Yes. Calls from ads and from your website are tracked as conversions. For jobs that close days or weeks later, I set up offline conversion tracking so your CRM sends the closed job and its real value back into Google Ads. Google then learns to chase buyers rather than tyre-kickers.

Do I have to give up ownership of my accounts?

Never. Your Google Ads, GA4, Tag Manager and Search Console accounts stay in your name, under your billing. I get access as a manager. If we ever stop working together, everything I built stays with you.

What is enhanced conversions and do I need it?

Accepted Answer

Enhanced conversions sends hashed first-party data — like an email from your form — securely to Google so a conversion is still matched when cookies are blocked. Most accounts recover a meaningful share of previously invisible conversions. If you run lead generation, yes, you want it.

Do you work with businesses outside your usual industries?
